Parenting Workshops at Family Love Village

Family Love Village (FLV) is excited to bring back our Conscious Parenting Workshops catered towards supporting moms, dads, and all members of the family that care for children/teens! It is such an integral part of what Family Love Village is so passionate about with getting our needs met as parents and discovering more ways to raise our children/teens and ourselves more consciously, as well.

This year we are providing a few focused and guided workshops that create a sacred space for moms/women and dads/men to raise awareness of honoring the feminine and masculine energies, all the while learning how to become conscious role models for our families.

PLEASE NOTE: During these workshops, Family Love Village will offer free childcare during these times ONLY. If you are planning to attend these parent workshops, you will need to come

30 minutes prior

to the workshop to go over the FLV childcare protocol.

Please check the protocol document. We will accept children 5 years and up.

Human Hungry Hippo ~

Do you remember the board game Hungry, Hungry Hippos? You may have played it as a kid. It was a pretty simple game. All you had to do was hit the hippo and it would grab a bunch of marbles. With a few furniture dollies, parents will be transformed into human hippos! Add some plastic balls with tubs and a partner to pull your legs back and forth to retrieve as much “food” as they can “eat” and you’ve got yourself a fun and hilarious game! And to add a special “treat”, the winners to get the most “food” wins a prize at the end!

Conscious Parenting: What is Unconditional Love? with Bianca Espino-Pursley & Tyson Purley

“Unconditional love really exists in each of us. It is part of our deep inner being. It is not so much an active emotion as a state of being. It’s not ‘I love you’ for this or that reason, not ‘I love you if you love me.’ It’s love for no reason, love without an object.” Ram Dass

Come join a discussion and explore how to put Unconditional Love into your life and parenting.

The Wellness Reboot: Connecting the Dots Between Nutrition, Growing Your Own Food and Your Family’s Health with Leigh Sietsema and Tangee Veloso ~

Years ago, humans were so much more connected to nature and had a much more tranquil relationship with it. There was a time when we used plants to heal our ailments and relied on the stars and the sun as our compass and time-teller. Our source of food was pure and free of chemicals and slow cooking was the best way to receive healthy nutrition. In today’s fast-paced world, with all of us busy bees buzzing around, prioritizing TLC for ourselves is the most common challenge that parents face.

In applied kinesiology, they consider health as a triangle. The three legs of the triangle include structure and biochemistry, as well as one’s emotional state. In order to attain optimal health, all sides of the triad must be equal to one another. When parents and children have less than optimal health, there is usually an imbalance in one or more of these areas.

In this workshop, we will discuss how you and your family can reach optimal health by replenishing and nurturing your connection to whole food plant-based nutrition, as well as growing your own food and how making one simple change at a time can shift your family’s health and wellness.
