Lightning in a Bottle is centrally located in between Los Angeles and San Francisco, to be fair to festival goers in both cities. Getting here is pretty easy too.
San Antonio Recreation Area – North Shore –
2091 New Pleyto Road
Bradley, CA 93426.
If you’re coming from either of the major metro areas, the drive should take about 3 and a half to 4 hours without traffic— but don’t fall victim to the planning fallacy. Give yourself ample time to not worry about traffic, and take rest stops as you need them.
The San Antonio Recreation Area is right off of New Pleyto Rd, which is right off Jolon Rd. You can take the 101 there, getting off at Jolon Rd. That’s at exit 283 if you’re going South, and 252 if you’re going North. If you’re coming from LA, you can also take the I5N at first and then merge onto the 101 later.
Some important things to keep in mind as you arrive are wristbands. If you didn’t get your wristbands sent in the mail, you will have to go to Will Call. Everyone in your car has to have a wristband, so if one person in your card doesn’t have one, be kind and wait for them at Will Call. Make sure any vehicle passes are affixed to your vehicle and clearly displayed before you arrive on site.
