For the 2nd year in a row, LIB is partnering with a number of innovative and values-based organizations to curate presentations and workshops in the Compass that support our values of sustainability, social cohesion, personal health, and creative expression.

The illustrious group of partners detailed below have years of experience working in their chosen fields and bring a network of experts and luminaries to share their stories and insights about the meaningful work and life-affirming rewards that come from devoting time and energy to doing good in the world. We are honored to offer these inspiring organizations a platform at Lightning In A Bottle.

Living Village Culture

“Cultivating the skills and practices to bring village ways into modern life.” – Living Village Culture

Living Village Culture is a collective of educators and creatives dedicated to bridging art, immersive experience and activism to build awareness, strengthen relations and align in service with each other, the planet and the Sacred.

Through producing an educational environment within the festival, Living Village Culture have become an integral part of the LiB experience. By spending years exploring global underground festivals and community living, they have learned that the best way to influence culture is to make it themselves. In addition producing educational environments within festival culture, as well as independent retreats, symposiums, performances and media to create transformative, spirit-based experiences. Their work nurtures connection and collaboration within the growing network of planetary activists, bringing together people from diverse walks of life with imagination and reverence.

NEXUS Global Labs

The NEXUS HQ team aims to support the work of their members globally, who are a collective of like-minded individuals passionate about changing the world.

Their NEXUS Lab initiative is a platform for venture development that helps grow their members’ innovative and experimental ideas. The labs focus on collaborative discussion, providing creators feedback from a passionate entrepreneurial community in order to further develop their concept. Past concept themes have included; Music, Ethical Fashion, Futurism, and Regenerative Culture. NEXUS Labs aim to connect, inspire, and activate the next generation of exceptional social innovators to accelerate solutions to global problems.

Indigenous Environmental Network

“Protect the Sacredness of Earth Mother from contamination & exploitation by Respecting and Adhering to Indigenous Knowledge and Natural Law”- Indigenous Environmental Network

Established in 1990, IEN is an alliance of grassroots Indigenous peoples and individuals from North and South America to address environmental and economic justice issues.

IEN builds the capacity of Indigenous communities and tribal governments to develop mechanisms to protect the sacred sites, land, water, air, natural resources, health of people and all living things, and to build economically sustainable communities. Their efforts include maintaining informational clearinghouse, organizing campaigns, direct actions and public awareness, building the capacity of community and tribes to address EJ issues, developing initiatives to impact policy, and building alliances among Indigenous communities, tribes, inter-tribal and Indigenous organizations, people-of-color/ethnic organizations, faith-based and women groups, youth, labor, environmental organizations and others. IEN convenes local, regional and national meetings on environmental and economic justice issues, and provides support, resources and referral to Indigenous communities and youth throughout primarily North America and in recent years, globally.

Founded in 1986 by Dr. Rick Doblin, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is a research and educational organization that conducts scientific research on psychedelics and educational outreach.

MAPS is committed to developing medical, legal, and cultural contexts for people to benefit from the responsible use of psychedelics and marijuana without stigma. Their breakthrough MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy research is their highest priority project and is at the moment conducting Phase 3 trials, which is a considerable step towards widespread adoption. MAPS’s contributions are fundamental to the field of drug awareness and understanding, and have influenced important policy changes that help people suffering from mental trauma and chronic diseases.
